If you live in my neighborhood, you’ll probably bump into me in different places. Sometimes I’m the guy waving from the porch with a goofy story. Other times, I’m hunched over a laptop with way too many tabs open, whispering sweet nothings to all sorts of digital platforms. And on weekends and festival times you’ll find me at the community hall, talking to people from all walks, young and old, new or long timers, with one hand helping our executive team behind the scenes making sure everything is going smoothly.
Yes, friends, Mandar is everywhere, like HOA, ouch! but unlike them, I won’t fine you for leaving your recycling bin out. 😄
Hyphenated Homestead has always been my corner for storytelling, reflection, and the occasional life coaching disguised as humor. But I moonlight in two other places too:
- At the office, where mPath Services is my small-business-and-life-transitions workshop. Now full blown AI integrations included.
- At the community hall, where the St. Louis Marathi Mandal gets a little digital and governance TLC from me.
Think of it like running into the same neighbor three times in one day: at the grocery store, at the gym, and at the post office. Same Mandar, just different aisles.
Office Mandar (a.k.a. mPath Services) 🖥️
Here’s where I take my “empathetic coach with a sense of humor” vibe and apply it to digital strategy, leadership, and life routines.
A few of my recent thinking and work in this aisle is included below. Take a look:
- Leadership in 2025: Less Power, More Presence — Spoiler alert: leading well isn’t about louder voices, it’s about showing up with presence (and no, presence doesn’t mean yet another Zoom filter).
- Almost to the Q4 of 2025 — When AI tools like GPT-5 and Microsoft Copilot start managing your calendar better than you do.
- When “Let Me Know” Turns Into “Let Me Down” — A love letter to trust in teamwork. Because when people drop the ball, it’s not just the ball that falls — it’s the momentum that is fractured.
- Your Best Routine Isn’t on Instagram — Hint: emotional stability doesn’t come from Reel-worthy smoothie bowls. Neuroscience says boring is beautiful.
- The Power of 90 Days — Yes, corporations love their color-coded slides, but here’s why 90-day cycles actually work (and how you can apply them without the corporate jargon).
If you ever wondered what happens when Mandar trades his porch stories for project plans, this is the aisle you’ll find me in.
Community-Hall Mandar (a.k.a. STLMM) 🎭
Then there’s my other stomping ground: the St. Louis Marathi Mandal. This is a 3-year responsibility that I took on in 2023. Here, I wear my trustee hat, but more than being hands-on with wires or microphones, my role is to be that trusted supporter — helping our Executive Committee pull off big programs and ensuring things run smoothly behind the scenes.
Here is what I have been up to in this aisle.
- ‘मन’ की बात – My Friday Thought! — A heartfelt reminder that behind every big, shiny program is a team of volunteers juggling family, work, and community with a smile.
- Marathi Shala Leading the Way — Our teachers ditched WhatsApp chaos for shiny new website Groups. Turns out, organized files can feel as satisfying as hot pakoras on a rainy day.
- A New Year, A New Way to Join the STLMM Family — Membership just got easier. Think fewer forms, more fun, and zero hidden “samosa tax.” (Yes, that’s a thing we had to clarify)
- STLMM – Now on LinkedIn — A professional home for volunteers and cultural milestones, because yes, even mandals need LinkedIn pages.
This is where Mandar gets to mix tech upgrades with tradition — and sometimes that means quietly coaching from the sidelines rather than taking center stage.
One Neighborhood, Many Aisles 🏡
So whether you’re here at Hyphenated Homestead, peeking into mPath Services, or wandering through St. Louis Marathi Mandal, it’s all the same neighborhood: just me, showing up in different corners, telling stories, supporting people, and (hopefully) making you smile.
If you ever bump into me in more than one place, don’t be alarmed. That’s just Neighborhood Mandar, living his hyphenated life.
👉 Mandar’s note: Which aisle would you most likely find me in — porch storyteller, office strategist, or community hall trusted supporter? Drop me a line, I’d love to know.
