About Me
Hi, I’m Mandar Pathak — Writer. Observer. Digital Strategist by profession, and a lifelong hyphenate.
What is that you may ask? Good question – for me that is someone who is navigating the spaces between cultures, careers, and personal evolution.
I was born and raised in Pune, India, and moved to the U.S. to pursue higher education. What started as an academic adventure quickly unfolded into something much bigger — a journey of self-discovery, adaptation, and growth in a place both foreign and familiar.
Living between two worlds has shaped how I see the small moments — the kind that often go unnoticed but carry quiet meaning. Hyphenated Homestead (started in December 2023) began as a personal journal to capture these reflections. Over time, it’s grown into a space where stories meet insight, and where the lessons of everyday life start to point the way forward.
I write to make sense of the in-between — the cultural dance, the career pivots, the identity shifts — with a little humor and a lot of heart.
This blog is still for me, but I hope it speaks to you too.
Whether you’re here to read, reflect, or reconnect with your own journey — welcome. Just to make you feel at ease, this was my very first blog entry. 😁Self-deprecating humor is a good motivation, as they say!
In April of 2025, as part of this ongoing journey, I also launched mPath Services — a quiet yet meaningful step into self-employment. It’s a natural extension of everything I’ve done professionally, but on my own terms.
