When Effort Is All You’ve Got — That’s Enough

1–2 minutes

You can’t control the outcome, but you can control the effort.

In the pursuit of success, focus on the effort, not just the outcome.

🌱 Choosing Effort Over Outcome

There’s something incredibly humbling—and powerful—about realizing you don’t have control over how things will turn out. For someone like me, who has spent most of their career creating plans, managing change, and designing communication strategies, letting go of results didn’t come easy. I was wired to deliver outcomes.

But here’s what I’ve learned: effort has its own reward. Even if the outcome isn’t what you expected, you walk away with integrity, growth, and a sense of personal pride.

🧭 A Shift in How I Define Success

A few years ago, I had taken on a high-stakes corporate assignment—one that involved aligning multiple teams during a large-scale transformation. Implementing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system globally. Despite my best efforts, the final outcomes didn’t reflect the intention I brought into the project. I remember being disappointed at first. But over time, I saw that my effort had still created momentum, built trust, and impacted individual people.

That was the success. Quiet, invisible perhaps—but real.

💼 Where This Ties In: A Philosophy Behind My Coaching and Digital Strategy Work

This mindset has become a cornerstone of how I coach and guide others through transitions or digital projects of any kind — maybe personal or professional. When we focus on effort, we release the pressure of perfection and start moving with purpose.

That’s what I hope to bring through mPath Services: a space to help you redefine progress on your own terms. That always will be work in progress on my end, but you can check out what I am hoping to accomplish here (mPath Services)
