I am telling you; you won’t believe what I did this morning.
I have done many stupid things in the past, but what I did this morning made me think of a lot of things like:
- How could this even happen?
- Why did it happen?
- Why me? Why now?
- How did I let that happen?
- What could be the consequences?
- How much of a headache it would have been, had the ‘ending’ not the ending ultimately this story finished with?
Not just these questions, but many, many questions like these and more. Now the real thing is, it does happen with a lot of people often. I wouldn’t say it’s a commonplace occurrence, but it kind of is sometimes. 🙃 But just like many things in life, you always think that these things happen to other people and not you. Unless, one day, you find yourself in that exact same situation and bummer, it all feels so real. So close to home.
So, the real questions are:
- Why does it happen when it happens, and how to recover from it?
- What are the steps you take in that crunch time and try and reverse the outcome?
- Do you just believe in luck or destiny and let it go? Or
- You think strategically and execute on that strategy to arrive at a favorable outcome.
Are you following me? Are you getting what I am saying? Do you agree with me?
Oh wait, I didn’t tell you what the situation was, have I? 😊
Well, I did say that there are chances that you did that yourself, at least once, or maybe even more. It just depends. Maybe know someone who has done it. Nonetheless, whether you have experienced it or not, it made me feel not so good. Lot of emotions in span of 45 mins and lot of things running through my mind.
When such things happen, you have to remember that life can throw you a curveball, maybe it’s your mistake or maybe not. When that happens remember that you do not have to lose control, do what is right and what is needed at that point. You can take help from others, count on your luck, or just put in extra hard yards to make things right.
Let me tell you, after such turmoil when things go right or take a turn for the better, you feel on top of the world, I mean it, on top of the world. It’s funny how small things can matter so much, in grand scheme of happenings. You thank the heavens and assure yourself that you won’t let that happen again. And finally, you get ready to document your morning, just like what I am doing right now – so you can laugh at yourself down the road.
Now, I cannot say that I have never done it, because I have. And with a bit of presence of mind and luck, I got it back on track. I like to call it #DevachiKrupa. (see what I mean by that here)
You are following me, right? – are you? If not, what are you doing?
Oh wait, I still haven’t told you what it is, have I? My sincere apologies, I was bit carried away in the analysis of the situation. That happens, right?
Well, let me give you some clues and see if you can guess it.
- Time/mins spent: Morning rush, 45 minutes.
- Objects involved: Car, My Car Keys, My Wallet, my iPhone, and My Chai
- People involved: Police, Hair cut lady and Me.
- Emotions: Pure panic, feeling stupid, feeling elated
- Outcome – I can’t say things are that different from the morning.
- Conclusion: #DevachiKrupa
Any guesses?

I would love to hear about them right here in the comments section, or on FB, or wherever you are reading this.
I know, I know – I need to document this so I can laugh at myself later. You can read all the details here.
